This tournament began in 2011 to honor the life of our dear friend Prinella Haygood.  Education was very important to Prinella, so we created an education trust fund for her children who were 2 & 6 at the time.  Our goal is to help fund their college education.

Along this journey, we have also opened our hearts to honor the lives of 2 more special people, Linwood Grady and Michelle Nemeth.  The proceeds from this tournament will be divided between Roper St. Francis Cancer Care, an education trust for Prinella's boys and the Lonon Foundation, which helps children affected by a parent or caregiver's cancer diagnosis.

As friends of the Charleston tennis community continue to inspire the Haygood Grady Tournament's impact, MUSC Health's ALS Clinic is now additionally a recipient of our proceeds. MUSC Health is the first and only program in South Carolina to earn recognition from the ALS Association as Certified Treatment Center of Excellence.
